Disabled Child in the Family

Raising a disabled child is tough. It’s crisis at its best. As a mother of a boy with autism and a mental health professional-in-training, I can help parents raising disabled children with guidance, processing, and discovering resources.

All the while, we pay attention to everything but ourselves. Yet only a happy, well-balanced parent can provide the stability needed for a happy, well-balanced child.
I believe that the world is beautiful because it is diverse, I believe that happiness is not the same for everyone, and that our children can show us a very special, exciting side of life.

Franciska Bujdos has been a member of the Music for Everyone Association (A zene mindenkié Egyesület) since 2013 as an enthusiastic, active parent. She raises her intellectually disabled, autistic and also musically talented son with attention, great love, and devotion. At our request, she took on the leadership of our association in 2021. With her excellent organizational skills, she organized, directed, and led the Parafónia Orchestra's large-scale foreign trip and concert in Lithuania.

Since 2023, as a member of the association's board, she has been assisting the new president and the Association with great dedication. She regularly organizes performances and concerts of the orchestras. She successfully writes applications to improve the financial situation of our association.

She recruits new members and advances our work with her creative ideas.

She is reliable, and performs her tasks accurately and precisely.

With her communication skills and excellent English language knowledge she creates good relationships with others, as well as with the members of our Association, parents, teachers and our mentally disabled students.

Franciska is a true role model both professionally and personally. As a multi-faceted professional, she approaches others with exceptional sensitivity and insight – she always sees exactly where help is needed. Her energy, motivation and solution-oriented attitude are inspiring to all of us. For her colleagues, she is a reliable, open and supportive partner who approaches any situation logically, yet always with humanity. Her communication is effective and understanding, whether it is professional consultation or individual support. Franciska is exemplary not only as a professional, but also as a mother. She raises her son with autism with endless patience and love, but at the same time extremely consciously: she takes into account his individual abilities and supports him as optimally as possible on the path to independence. She participates in the work of the “Music is for Everyone” Association (A zene mindenkié Egyesület) as an active board member, where she contributes a lot to the progress of the Association with her creative ideas, positive attitude and unwavering commitment. It is a pleasure to work with her – her work and presence represent real value.

I highly recommend Franciska, with her positive vibe, sincere interest, openness, purposeful questions and attentive listening she can show you a way to solve your problems. She does this in a way that doesn't make you anxious, you always learn something new about yourself, and you figure out for yourself what the best path is for you.
