About me

introduction

Connection, acceptance, support — with heart and mind.

My name is Franciska Bujdos, and I spent approximately 25 years in formal education studying to become a Hungarian teacher, an English language teacher and an economist. I taught English in adult education for 15 years, and now I have been working as a back office manager for a Hungarian consulting company for 15 years.

The “working woman” is just one role in my life, and not even the most important one. I am also a mother. I didn’t have to go to school for this. I was able to give birth and raise children without any prior qualifications. I thought it would be easy and obvious, but life quickly taught me humility: even to raise my first, healthy son, I should have known and learned much more beforehand. My second son has autism, and for him I was not prepared at all. In order to understand him and keep him safe and loved according to his condition and needs I had to start reading books, and go to training courses.

My interest in psychology and mental health began with this. Self-awareness courses, coach training, and a degree in mental health followed.

I would like to spend the next phase of my life helping others. For years, I have been actively involved in the work of the Music for Everyone Association, where children and adults with intellectual disabilities learn to play music – including my son. With the Association’s orchestra, Parafónia, we regularly perform concerts both at home and abroad, and we organize the community life of our musicians, their parents, and music teachers.

I have also gained a lot of practical experience working in the business world, which help make everyday life liveable and even enjoyable. I can listen to others, and ask relevant questions. I can be present with empathy and untangle tangled threads. I believe that having someone to talk to in a safe space can be healing in itself.

Franciska Bujdos has been a member of the Music for Everyone Association (A zene mindenkié Egyesület) since 2013 as an enthusiastic, active parent. She raises her intellectually disabled, autistic and also musically talented son with attention, great love, and devotion. As a committed mother she does an extraordinary amount to ensure that her son finds his place in society and lives a happy life.

At our request, she took on the leadership of our association in 2021. With her excellent organizational skills, she organized, directed, and led the Parafónia Orchestra's large-scale foreign trip and concert in Lithuania.

Since 2023, as a member of the association's board, she has been assisting the new president and the Association with great dedication. She regularly organizes performances and concerts of the orchestras. She successfully writes applications to improve the financial situation of our association.

She recruits new members and advances our work with her creative ideas.

She is reliable, and performs her tasks accurately and precisely.

With her communication skills and excellent English language knowledge she creates good relationships with others, as well as with the members of our Association, parents, teachers and our mentally disabled students.

Franciska is a true role model both professionally and personally. As a multi-faceted professional, she approaches others with exceptional sensitivity and insight – she always sees exactly where help is needed. Her energy, motivation and solution-oriented attitude are inspiring to all of us. For her colleagues, she is a reliable, open and supportive partner who approaches any situation logically, yet always with humanity. Her communication is effective and understanding, whether it is professional consultation or individual support. Franciska is exemplary not only as a professional, but also as a mother. She raises her son with autism with endless patience and love, but at the same time extremely consciously: she takes into account his individual abilities and supports him as optimally as possible on the path to independence. She participates in the work of the “Music is for Everyone” Association (A zene mindenkié Egyesület) as an active board member, where she contributes a lot to the progress of the Association with her creative ideas, positive attitude and unwavering commitment. It is a pleasure to work with her – her work and presence represent real value.

I highly recommend Franciska, with her positive vibe, sincere interest, openness, purposeful questions and attentive listening she can show you a way to solve your problems. She does this in a way that doesn't make you anxious, you always learn something new about yourself, and you figure out for yourself what the best path is for you.
